The summer exhibition is entitled, A+: Student Art in Faculty Collections, an interesting variation on alumni art exhibits contains student art work from the collections of various art faculty and the Art Department itself. The exhibit features the artwork of 92 artists who graduated from or studied at the University of Southern Indiana in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, as well as students from other four-year institutions.
There will be a mid-summer reception to honor the artists and collectors on Sunday, July 15 from 1 – 3 pm at the Art Center. Light refreshments will be served and the public is cordially invited to attend this free event.
There is a new driveway that allows visitors to be dropped off directly at the door of the Art Center. After taking the exit to USI, approach the roundabout at the campus entrance and take the first road to the right. Curve around the back of the Nursing/Health Professions and Education/Science buildings, and you will see the Liberal Arts Center on your left, opposite Reflection Lake.
