Rob Millard-Mendez, MFA, Sculpture

Rob is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, teaching Design in Materials and Wookworking. Rob received his MFA in Sculpture from UMASS Dartmouth in 1998. His work consists mainly of large, toy-like, kinetic, interactive sculptures made mostly of wood. His pieces are meant to involve the viewer on many levels: physically, visually, and intellectually.

Rob has exhibited his work in over 275 shows in museums and galleries in 40 states. He has had a number of one-person exhibitions and he has received over 50 awards for his work. His sculptures are in over 30 private and public collections. Rob has been teaching at the college level since 1999 and he has been asked to present lectures about art to different audiences regularly.
