Dr. David Black
David Black is an assistant professor of communications teaching courses in television production and the broadcasting/cable industries. Dr. Black taught at Bowling Green State University in Ohio before joining USI in 1998. He earned his Ph.D. in communications from The University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 1996 and a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green in 1976. Before entering graduate school, Dr. Black was a television director for eleven years with WTVF in Nashville.
