John Morris is general manager of the university's radio station,
820 The Edge - WSWI. He
served eight years as sports director at the station. During that time John
and his staff broadcast over 800 games, including men's and women's basketball,
soccer, baseball and softball.
Morris received his undergraduate degree in comprehensive broadcasting from the University of Wyoming in 1986 and a master of arts in human resources management from Indiana State University in 1998. John worked in news, sports and sales at radio stations in Indiana, Idaho and Missouri before coming to USI. He also teaches classes in the radio and television program.
