J. Wayne Rinks is coordinator of the radio and television sequence and an associate professor of communications. He joined the faculty in 1991 following a professional career as a radio news director, radio/television sales manager, and general manager of an AM-FM broadcast group. He earned the Ph.D. in communications with a broadcasting emphasis from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor's degree in radio/television/film from the University of Memphis. He has served as educational representative to the Indiana Broadcasters Association, and faculty advisor for the campus radio station.
