Coordinator of Freshman SpeechInstructor of AdvertisingRobert Jeffers is coordinator of freshman speech and an instructor in advertising. Professor Jeffers joined the faculty in 1993 after serving as an adjunct faculty member at USI for several years. He earned the M.A. degree in public relations from Murray State University in Kentucky, and his B.A. in speech communications from the University of Evansville. Professor Jeffers is co-author of Public Conversations, a textbook for introductory speech courses. He is faculty sponsor of the American Advertising Federation competition, and manages a communication consulting company, pro talk. In Summer I sessions Mr. Jeffers teaches LIBA497 Cathedrals—a Core synthesis course that includes travel to Europe as part of its curriculum.
