To be prepared for teaching by researching, critically thinking, and reviewing knowledge and concepts appropriate for the subject I'm teaching
To teach relevant, current, and appropriate lessons
To promote tolerance and respect for diverse people and ideas
To use teaching methods and approaches appropriate for college level
To respect the talents, abilities, and limitations of each student
To encourage students to be curious, passionate, interested and genuinely engaged in the world beyond themselves
To evaluate student performance in the course accurately and fairly

To manage the class efficiently by keeping accurate, up to date records of student work and participation
