Audrey Hillyer is an Instructor in English and the Assistant Director of Composition at USI.  She attended Eastern Illinois University for her undergraduate degree in English, and DePaul University in Chicago for an M.A. in English Literature.  Prior to coming to USI in 2006, she taught part time for the City Colleges of Chicago and worked extensively as a grant writer for both non-profit organizations and consultants.  

At USI, she teaches Rhetoric & Composition I and II, Humanities 211 and 212, and Introduction to Literature.  In the Fall 2012 semester, she will be teaching Fundamentals of Grant Writing as a Service Learning Course to foster collaboration between USI students, local non-profits and the community.
