Friendship is Important

        The most important thing I’ve learned so far this semester is that friendship is the most important thing a person can have. Friends are important in your everyday life. If it wasn’t for friends then where would we go when we needed help? True friends are hard to find and when you do you are a very lucky person. 

        I have learned that you shouldn’t let guys come between your friendships. I know that I have only been here for a couple of weeks, but its weird my friend likes this guy. Well that we are really good friends. So she got mad at us for hanging out together. I finally talked to him and told him what was going on and he was upset that she was mad at us for being friends. He said that if she didn’t like him talking to girls than she wouldn’t like him for much longer because he has many female friends. I also talked to her about this; she said that she realized that it was stupid to be mad at each other over a guy. So now everything is cool between us again. It’s a good thing that everything is good between us now because we are roommates and it would be hard to live with someone who is always mad at you. Not only that but it could have split our church youth group. That wouldn’t have been a good thing to have done. 

        Not only having friends is important but having friends that are in church is important, well at least to me. I think that having a healthy church life is just as important as having friends but I won’t go into that today that’s an essay for another day. 

        So my lesson for the first three weeks of school, odd that I didn’t learn this in class, is that friends are very important to everyone. It doesn’t matter if they are female friends or male friends; they are one of the most important things in life. I hope that everyone finds at least one true friend. Everyone needs to have at least one person that they can turn to in the time of need. I’m glad to say that I have a few that I can turn to, some are female and some are male.
