The Association of German Students (AGS)

AGS Kuchen SaleThe German club at USI offers the opportunity to make new friends while participating in a variety of German-related activities. Club events include a trip to the Cincinnati Oktoberfest, trips to Amish and ethnic German restaurants in the area, German film evenings, bake sales, a German "Stammtisch", and Lebkuchenträume (a Gingerbread house Contest with high school students).

2013/2014 German Club President: Jacob Rexing

Vice President: Nate Thompson

Secretary: Chase Braun

Historian: Aaron Anstett

Treasurer: Becca Riedford

Faculty Advisor: Dr. Bartell Berg, (Email: bmberg)

The "Stammtisch," or German language table, meets regularly in a local restaurant. Students of German, members of the community, and guests from German-speaking countries convene over pizza to converse in German. Conversation is at every level, beginning to advanced.
