USI's Upsilon Zeta is a chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society. It inducts new members during each spring semester.
To qualify for induction into Pi Sigma Alpha at USI, a student must:

be a junior with 63 semester hours completed

have a 3.4 overall G.P.A. at all colleges attended

have a 3.4 G.P.A. in at least three political science courses taken at USI
-
receive approval from the political science faculty
The national office of Pi Sigma Alpha (www.pisigmaalpha.org) in Washington, D.C. publishes Pi Sigma Alpha Newsletter twice yearly. In addition, it offers seven $2,000 scholarships to members going to graduate school, seven student paper awards of $100 to $250, six best chapter awards of $250, and three best chapter advisor awards of $1,000.
