Jobs/Volunteer Opportunities

One thought: finding a job is difficult.  I know only a handful of people who just happen to walk into a great job.  Each of these places listed is not hiring all the time.  If you are unsure how to market yourself, I have a handout that may help or talk to someone in our counseling center.  These places are listed because our students and graduates have found jobs at these places -- I do not maintain a listing of job openings.

From Suzanne Jamison, RN, Nursing Education Instructor at the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration
Due to recent changes in our recruitment and hiring policies, we are now able to offer part-time employment opportunities to nursing or psychology students in our Nursing Service Department as psychiatric attendants doing direct patient care under the supervision of our licensed nurses.
These positions would involve working every other weekend with more specific information on shifts and hours available at time of interview based on current needs.
Training will be provided. Details are yet to be finalized regarding specifics of training.
Employment applications are available in the Human Resources Department. Interested applicants should fill out an employment application and return it to the Human Resources Department.  Evansville State Hospital, Division of Mental Health - 473-2222
