Robert W. Carithers Scholarships Requirements for Renewal The scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three years after the initial freshman year or until 124 credit hours are attempted, whichever comes first. The recipient must maintain a cumulative USI grade point average of 3.0 or higher. In addition, the student must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA prior to March 1 each year. (Although filing the FAFSA is a requirement, receiving a Society scholarship is not based on financial need). A minimum of 12 credit hours but be completed successfully each term (summer excluded) Cancellation The scholarship will be canceled if renewal criteria are not met, and the scholarship will not be reinstated. Minimum enrollment requirements will be evaluated each semester. The cumulative GPA will be evaluated at the end of each spring semester. |
