Why did you choose the MPA Program at USI? "I decided to join the MPA program because I wanted to obtain my Masters in something that would give me real-world, practical skills that I could use for any job or career field that I may want to go into."

What did you gain from the MPA Program? "I learned a lot about the public, nonprofit, and private sectors that will allow me to work in a job in any of those three. I also learned practical skills that can applied to any job that I may have, and that will allow me to grow as a public administrator."

Why did you choose the MPA Program at USI? "I am in the MPA program so I can expand my knowledge in order to better serve my community both as a citizen/volunteer and administrator. I believe that our community is only as great as the people in it, but as we grow as individuals our community grows as well."

What do you hope to gain from the MPA Program? "It is my hope that this program will not only expand my knowledge, but will encourage me to look at public and non-profits with a different point of view. I also hope to gain relationships with my fellow students to so that our networking and experiences can have a positive influence on our community as we work together in future endeavors."

Why did you choose the MPA Program at USI? "I aspired to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector.  The nonprofit concentration portion of USI's MPA Program is the reason I chose to pursue this program."

What did you gain from the MPA Program? "While enrolled in the program, I had the opportunity to obtain knowledge of both the public and nonprofit sectors.  In addition, as a student I completed a course in China, served as an intern at the Southwest Indiana Chamber and participated in various projects with nonprofit organizations in the community."
