The Center for Social Justice Education promotes social justice and empowerment through education, research and collaboration.

Objectives

The objectives of the Center for Social Justice Education are embedded in education, research, and service for social advocacy.

Education Objectives

  1. Increase the number of social workers qualified for employment in specialized fields.
  2. Increase the number of social workers qualified to promote social justice through advocacy at the policy level.  
  3. Increase the number of social work placements within specialized fields.
  4. Increase the number of professional development opportunities within specialized fields.
  5. Increase the number of funded educational opportunities with local agencies.

Research Objectives

  1. Increase knowledge base related to social work and interventions impacting social issues.
  2. Increase the use of current research trends and knowledge in the classroom.
  3. Increase the number of funded research opportunities.
  4. Increase the number of faculty publication from research based projects.

Service Objectives

  1. Increase the number of collaborative external partnerships addressing social issues.
  2. Increase the number of collaborative internal partnerships addressing social issues.
  3. Increase linkages and partnerships at a national and international level.
