Program Admission

Students who wish to major in criminal justice studies must meet additional requirements before being admitted to the program.

Presently, no application is needed to become an anthropology or sociology major.

Criminal Justice Studies Admission Requirements

Before being admitted into the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree program in criminal justice studies, students must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete the following six University Core courses with a grade of C or better; ENG 101, CMST 101 OR CMST 107, MATH-any core class, PHIL 201 OR PHIL 312, SOC 121, POLS 102.

  • Complete the four criminal justice introductory courses with a grade of C+ or better; CRIM 234, CRIM 244, SOC 225, POLS 208

  • Maintain a major and overall grade point average of 2.50 or better.
