ABSTRACT

Alpha Farms, Oregon was established in 1971 by four individuals from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In a very short time the community acquired land, people, and funding to branch into communal living with nature. Today Alpha Farms has several enterprises including a good health and bookstore called Alpha Bits, and the Alpha Institute which specializes in team work building workshops and seminars. You can learn about this community from the Alpha Farms website at: http://members.pioneer.net/~alpha/index.htm. This collection consists of newsletters and events sponsored by the community. It includes some writings and research material on the group and business records from the late 1970's abd early 1980's.
