FEATURED COLLECTION: Don Blair

The Blair collection is a photographic history of New Harmony and the surrounding area. It includes many photographs from the Fauntleroy family that date back to the 1880s. The collection range is from the 1880s to the 1950s. Some of the events in the collection are the building of the New Harmony bridge, visit of President Taft for the town’s centennial celebration, the tornado of 1925 and the devastation at Griffin, Indiana. The collection captures the everyday life in New Harmony and the changes through time of New Harmony, a jewel in southern Indiana.
