- Collection Development
The Catalog includes the holdings of the Rice Library and contains records of books, DVDs and videos, music, e-books, audio books, government documents, geographic maps, K-12 curriculum materials, popular reading, and more.
In addition, the Multicultural Center's book collection and the Center for Academic Creativity collection are also included in the Catalog.
The Catalog does not contain journal, magazine or newspaper articles. Select How to Find Articles for more information.
Collection development broadly describes the combined activities of selection, acquistion, cataloging, processing, and preserving of library materials in a variety of formats.
