Book Binding and Repairs
Library staff maximize the life expectancy and utility of the Library's collection by:
- Maintaining proper environmental conditions and security
- Performing appropriate repair, reinforcement, using stable materials of long life-expectancy and high utility
- Ensuring access through accurate database work and labeling
- Responding effectively to emergencies
Minimal repairs (i.e. torn spines, loose/broken hinges, a loose page, etc.) are made to damaged library materials. All other repairs are sent to a commercial bindery.
