SPECIFIC TYPES OF SOURCES
Finding DVDs and Videos in the Library's Catalog
- Select Basic Search from the Catalog menue tab.
- Under Location Limits, change the dropdown box to DVD/VIDEO
- Enter the title of the DVD or video putting the title in quotes.
- Example: "rebel without a cause". One word titles do not have to be in quotes.
- For best results when doing title searches omit initial articles (A, An, The, Der, El, L', La, etc.).
- Example: "sound and the fury" (rather than "the sound and the fury").
- When searching by keyword, use one word or put phrases in quotes.
- Example: alcohol? (using the ? mark will simultaneously search alcohol, alcoholism, alcoholics.
- Example: "middle ages"
- Example: "feature films"
