List of Journal Titles

Have citation and need full-text?

Journal Finder allows you to enter a title of a journal to see if the Rice Library has full-text access to that journal or if the library subscribes to the print edition of the same journal.

Use Journal Finder to search for a Journal Title (example: Journal of Mass Media Ethics), to see if the journal is available in full-text in one or more of the library's 60+ databases.

Do not use Journal Finder to search for articles.

For articles click here.

Tips:

If the Journal Title begins with A, An or The, sometimes it helps to delete those terms and then search for the Journal Title.

If the Journal Title has an & in the title and you get zero hits, try using AND instead of the & when you enter the Journal Title.

If you are copying and pasting the journal title from a database citation, make sure there are no periods or other punctuation at the end of the Journal Title you entered.

To be certain that the library does not own a copy of the journal title and issue you need in print format, you will need to check the Library Catalog. To do so, to to the Catalog and:

  • Select Basic Search
  • Under Search by highlight Journal Title
  • Under Search for enter the Journal Title
  • Select Search

Finally, if the library does not own the periodical full-text in any our databases and if we do not own the periodical issue you need in print, you can request the article through a service known as Interlibrary Loan.
