FACULTY SERVICES
Requesting Materials for Reserve

Faculty
wishing to place materials on Reserve should notify Debbie
Clark, Library Associate at
464-1922 one week prior to the beginning of the semester during which
the item(s) are to be
assigned. Copyright law limits the type and number of items which may
be duplicated.
Personally
owned copies of books and other materials may be placed on reserve.
Arrangements
will be made to have these returned to your office at the end of the
semester or after the date
you indicate to remove from reserve.
The library
staff will make copies of reserve material as allowed by the library's
copyright
guidelines and upon receiving written authorization to charge the copies
to your academic
account.
As a service
to faculty, the library staff will, upon request, collect reserve-reading
material
from the stacks. To do this most effectively, the Checkout staff needs
at least 2 days notice.
This gives the staff time to notify you of any selections
already checked out, or not on the shelf.
Sample
student papers may be placed on reserve for a class if you have obtained
written
permission from the student. The signed permission form should be attached
to the paper
when it is sent to the library. Sample permission forms are available
at the Checkout Counter,
or call Debbie Clark at 464-1922 and they can be sent to you.
