MAP-Works Overview

Fall 2014 Transition Survey -September 8-22

MAP-Works is designed to help first time, first year students make a smooth transition to college life here at USI.  The use of this software is also one of the Strategic Planning initiatives under the goal "Increase Graduation Rates", as MAP-Works use over the last years has had an impact on first-year student retention.

The Focus of this program is on academic success, retention, student development, and student involvement of our first year students.  An on-line transition assessment, which will be taken on Assessment Day, is the tool that serves as the catalyst for early intervention.  Students then receive a student report directly following the completion of the survey, that norms their responses with national data and USI student data.
