New Student Assembly is an orientation program designed especially for first year and transfer minority students.

The assembly's main purpose is to enable students to interact with one another and to begin to build bridges, community, and friendship. At the New Student Assembly, new students have an opportunity to discuss their concerns about the first year experience during a roundtable discussion led by returning students.

Faculty and staff of color are also on hand to emphasize the need for academic excellence throughout their college career. It is a fun and exciting way to begin your college career.
