Julie Brauser has been named the new assistant director of Career Services and Placement at the University of Southern Indiana. 

Brauser has worked as a training consultant in USI’s Center for Human Resource Development, a division of Outreach and Engagement, for six years.

In Career Services and Placement, she will assist students with career planning, internships, and professional job search strategy. She also will develop recruiting relationships with local, regional, and national employers.

“I am excited about working with students,” said Brauser. “My background has been working with local businesses, most recently to help them develop and train their workforce, which gives me insight into what employers are looking for. I think this will help me as I prepare students for their transition into the workforce.”

Brauser has several years of experience working in sales, telecommunication, human resources, and marketing as a manager and trainer. She trained new-hires in sales and marketing for AT&T Wireless and Verizon Wireless.

She interned as program services coordinator and contract compliance officer for Evansville’s Department of Metropolitan Development in 1994.

Brauser holds two USI degrees; a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and secondary education, and a Master of Public Administration degree.
