Thirty-five students selected as USI ambassadors

Thirty-five new students at the University of Southern Indiana were named ambassadors by the USI Admissions Office. The new students will join more than 50 others who serve the University as part of the Student Ambassadors Organization (SAO).

SAO is a group of individuals that features the very best of what USI has to offer. Student ambassadors serve as University representatives, recruiters, hosts, tour guides, and leaders. Ambassadors promote USI to prospective students, current students, and alumni, giving them the edge by introducing University programs and campus life.

Jordan Amor is a freshman pre-nursing major. She is an active member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. Amor is the daughter of Michael and Nancy Amor of Danville and a graduate of Danville Community High School.

Maria Anderson is a freshman biology major with a minor in Spanish. She is an AMIGO (student orientation leader), is a member of the USI Biology Club and Pre-Professional Health Club and is in the Honors Program. Anderson is the daughter of Ralph and Angie Anderson and a graduate of Memorial High School in Evansville.

Olivia Ayer is a freshman pre-dental hygiene major. She is involved in Campus Outreach. Her parents are Tom and Julie Ayer of New Palestine, Indiana and she graduated from New Palestine High School.

Katelyn Blanke is a freshman nursing major with a minor in criminal justice. She is in the Honors Program and is a part of USI’s Connect with Southern Indiana program. She graduated from Castle High School in Newburgh.

Brooke Braswell is a freshman majoring in diagnostic medical sonography. She is an AMIGO (student orientation leader), participated in the USI Dance Marathon, and is a student worker in Housing and Residence Life. She is the daughter of Matt and Jackie McCammon of Bloomfield, Indiana, and graduated from White River Valley High School.

Jordan Brouillard is a sophomore sports management major. Brouillard is involved in Sports Management Club and USI intramural sports. Brouillard’s parents are Mike and Debbie Brouillard of Plainfield, Indiana. Brouillard graduated from Plainfield High School.

Shelby Clements is a junior biology/pre-medicine major with a minor in biochemistry. She is a part of the Biology Club, secretary for USI’s Habitat for Humanity, bylaws chairman for the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority, and a member of the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. She is the daughter of Andy and Stacie Fisher of Palestine, Illinois, and graduated from Palestine High School.

Shelby Davis is a freshman psychology major with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of the Honors Program, Psychology Club, Student Housing Association, Student Christian Fellowship, and is involved in USI intramural sports. She is the daughter of Bill and Cheri Davis of Westfield, Indiana, and a graduate of Westfield High School.

Alexa Dorrell is a sophomore double-majoring in sociology and special education with a minor in criminal justice. She is an RA (resident assistant), and is a team captain for a USI intramural sports team. Her parents are Don and Debbie Dorrell of Pittsboro, Indiana, and she is a graduate of Tri-West Hendricks High School.

Rachel Eickhoff is a freshman biology major. She is an AMIGO (student orientation leader) and participates in USI’s Biology Club and Pre-Professional Club. She is the daughter of Mark and Mary Ann Eickhoff and graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville.

Hannah Fadil is a freshman pre-medicine major with a minor in theater arts. She is a member of the Honors Program, and is involved in Pep Band and Pre-Professional Health Club. She is the daughter of Gary and Lisa Fadil and graduated from Southwood High School in Wabash, Indiana.

Haley Fisher is a freshman pre-occupational therapy major with a minor in Spanish. She is an AMIGO (student orientation leader), a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and is a member of the Honors Program. Her parents are Matt and Sherry Fisher of Breese, Illinois, and she is a graduate of Central Community High School.

Zaida Franco is a sophomore dental hygiene major with a minor in French studies. Franco is a member of the Hispanic Student Union, Student Support Services, and is in the Honors Program. Franco is the daughter of Alberta and Ana Franco of Logansport, Indiana, and graduated from Logansport High School.

Sara Gilomen is a junior health administration major. She is involved in USI Red Zone and intramural sports. Her parents are Carl and Joyce Gilomen of Trenton, Illinois, and she is a graduate of Wesclin High School.

Alex Hoffman is a freshman radio/television major with a minor in business administration. Hoffman is an AMIGO (student orientation leader), involved in USI’s Student Alumni Association, The Edge Radio, and is a member of the Honors Program. Hoffman’s parents are Mark and Melissa Hoffman. Hoffman is a graduate of Harrison High School in Lafayette, Indiana.

Cherish Lamborn is a freshman diagnostic medical sonography major. She is involved in Student Christian Fellowship and USI intramural sports. She is the daughter of Curt and Judy Lamborn and is a graduate of Tecumseh High School in Lynnville, Indiana.

Alexis Leak is a sophomore long-term care administration major. She is a part of the Delta Zeta sorority, Health Services Organization, and STELLAR (Students and Elderly Linking Around Relationships). She is the daughter of Dennis and Debra Leak of Kingman, Indiana, and a graduate of Fountain Central High School.

Brooke Mehringer is a junior nursing major with a minor in health administration. She is a member of the USI Association of Nursing Students. Her parents are Alan and Darlene Mehringer of Jasper, Indiana and she is a graduate of Jasper High School.

Lauren Merkle is a freshman pre-occupational therapy major. She is a member of Emerging Leaders, One Life, Student Christian Fellowship, Prime Time, Eagle Road Crew, and Conversation Club. Her parents are Jeff and Tammy Merkle and she graduated from Westfield High School in Westfield, Indiana.

Jeremy Nelson is a freshman biology major. He is the Indiana DeMolay State Master Councilor. He is the son of John Nelson and Misti Frayser and is a graduate from Central High School in Evansville.

Clare Nolan is a freshman majoring in biology with a minor in art. She is a member of the Honors Program, and is a FIRST Robotics volunteer.  She is the daughter of Dermot and Kathleen Nolan and graduated from Brownsburg High School in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Tim O’Brien is a sophomore business administration and economics major with a computer science minor.  He is a member of the Honors Program, National Collegiate Sales Team, and Marketing Club. He is president of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. His parents are Timothy and Cassandra O'Brien of Hobart, Indiana and a graduate of Hobart High School.

Lauren Pfau is a sophomore double-majoring in philosophy and Spanish.  She is an active member of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She is the daughter of Mike and Carma Pfau and graduated from Jasper High School in Jasper, Indiana.

Courtney Potter is a freshman pre-dental hygiene major with a minor in chemistry. She is a member of the Honors Program. Her parents are Aaron and Delora Potter of Rising Sun, Indiana, and she was homeschooled.

Kelsey Rusk is a sophomore nursing major. She is the daughter of Mark and Carolyn Rusk and graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville.

Megan Sink is a freshman pre-dental hygiene major with a minor in Spanish.  She is involved in Pep Band and is a member of the Honors Program. Her parents are Daniel and Lora Sink of Morgantown, Indiana and she graduated from Indian Creek High School.

Brittany SeDoris is a freshman elementary education major with a minor in mathematics. She is an active member of the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She is the daughter of Bill and Lisa SeDoris of Hobart, Indiana and is a graduate of Hobart High School.

Hannah Stone is a junior occupational therapy major. She is involved in Eagle Road Crew. Her parents are Bob and Patty Stone and she graduated from Mascoutah High School in Mascoutah, Illinois.

Ashley Thomas is a junior health administration major with a public health administration minor. She is an International Student Ambassador and is the collegiate and alumni director and social chair for the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority. She is also vice president of the Health Services Organization on campus. She is the daughter of Michele and Duane Thomas of Camby, Indiana and graduated from Decauter Central High School.

Macey Utt is a freshman majoring in pre-radiology and Spanish. She is the daughter of Grant and Julia Utt of Vincennes, Indiana and a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School.

Erika Vermillion is a freshman majoring in dietics. She is involved in the Gamma Phi Beta sorority and a part of the USI Girls’ Track and Field team. Her parents are T. Scott and Shari Vermillion of Yorktown, Indiana and she is a graduate of Yorktown High School.

Darcy White is a freshmandouble-majoring in biology/pre-medical and Spanish. She is a member of the USI Pre-Professional Health Club. She is the daughter of Tony and Cindy White of Greenwood, Indiana and a graduate of Greenwood Community High School.

Madison White is a junior exercise science major. She is a part of USI’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams. She is a member of the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education Advisory Committee and Volunteer USI. Her parents are Reed and Andee White of Morganfield, Kentucky, and she graduated from Union County High School.

Tanner Wilzbacher is a freshman accounting major. He is a member of Accounting Club, the Kappa Alpha fraternity, and USI Emerging Leaders. He is the son of Kevin and Carol Wilzbacher of Haubstadt, Indianaand a graduate of Gibson Southern High School.

Keyana Woods is a freshman criminal justice major. She is the daughter of Kyle and Tamara Hall and graduated from Muncie Central High School in Muncie, Indiana.
