Eighteen selected as USI student ambassadors

Eighteen University of Southern Indiana students were named ambassadors by USI's Admission Office. The new additions will join current members of the Student Ambassador Organization (SAO).

SAO is a group of individuals that features the very best of what USI has to offer. Student ambassadors serve as University representatives, recruiters, hosts, tour guides, and leaders. Ambassadors promote USI to prospective students, current students, and alumni by introducing University programs and campus life.

Adrienne Bay is a sophomore nursing major. She is the secretary of Veritas, a Christian student organization at USI. Bay is the daughter of Tom and Cathy Bay of Morgantown, Indiana, and a graduate of Indian Creek High School.

Laura Chamness is a freshman chemistry major with minors in mathematics and German. Chamness is a USI Presidential Scholar and a member of the Honors Program. She is the daughter of Vic and Sandy Chamness of Evansville and a graduate of F. J. Reitz High School.

Maggie Comer is a freshman history major with a minor in education. She participates in intramural sports and is a student worker in Housing and Residence Life at USI. She also participated in USI's Dance Marathon. Comer is the daughter of David and Dana Comer of Evansville and a graduate of North High School.

Hayley Coronato, a freshman,is still considering majors. Coronato is the daughter of Nick Coronato and Ashley Leytham of Speedway, Indiana, and a graduate of Cardinal Ritter High School.

Aaron Costlow is a freshman biology major. He is a member of the Newman Catholic Community and Ultimate Frisbee at USI. Costlow is the son of Alan and Leigh Anne Costlow of Evansville and a graduate of Mater Dei High School.

Cassidy Helms is a sophomore majoring in Spanish and English. She is a member of the Honors Program and participates in intramural sports at USI. Helms is the daughter of Darren and Tina Helms of Montgomery, Indiana, and a graduate of Barr-Reeve High School.

Abby Hering is a freshman majoring in Spanish and public relations and advertising. She is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America at USI. Hering is the daughter of Pam and David Hering of Greenwood, Indiana, and a graduate of Center Grove High School.

Rebecca Horn is a freshman nursing major. She is a member of the Student Christian Fellowship and the Encounter leadership team at USI. Horn is the daughter of John and Kristi Horn of Newburgh, Indiana, and a graduate of Castle High School.

Wendy Krueger is a freshman kinesiology (pre-occupational therapy) major. She is a member of the Honors Program, Young Life, and the Pre-Professional Health Club at USI. Krueger is the daughter of Fritz and Kara Krueger of Westfield, Indiana, and a graduate of Westfield High School.

Jenna Kruse is a sophomore social work major. She is an AMIGO and has served as a USI Welcome Week leader. Kruse is the daughter of Julie and Dan Kruse of Evansville and a graduate of Mater Dei High School.

Lizzie Messenger is a freshman nursing major. Messenger is the daughter of Craig and Debbie Messenger of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a graduate of Warren Central High School.

Jacob Mischler is a freshman majoring in biochemistry (pre-medicine). Mischler serves on the SpringFest Committee and is a USI Baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine Scholar. He is the son of Jeff and Elaine Mischler of Evansville and a graduate of Mater Dei High School.

Rachel Silliman is a freshman biology (pre-medicine) major. She is a member of the Honors Program, the Biology Club, and the Pre-Professional Health Club. Silliman is the daughter of Peter and Michelle Silliman of Georgetown, Indiana, and a graduate of Floyd Central High School.

Evan Stieler is a freshman majoring in biology (pre-medicine). He is a member of Young Life, the Honors Program, the Pre-Professional Health Club, and the Wellness Committee at USI. He also serves as the Student Government Association's Freshman Member-at-Large, works in the USI biology lab, and plays intramural sports. Stieler is a USI Baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine Scholar. He is the son of Mark and Amy Stieler of Newburgh, Indiana, and a graduate of Evansville Day School.

Emily Wallace is a freshman elementary education major with a minor in special education. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, the Honors Program, the Optimist Club, and Colleges Against Cancer at USI. Wallace is the daughter of James and Bernadette Wallace of Haubstadt, Indiana, and a graduate of Gibson Southern High School.

Lauren Nicole Ward, a freshman, is still considering majors. She is a member of the Honors Program, Young Life, Emerging Leaders, and Prime Time at USI. Ward also participates in intramural sports and is a USI Deans Scholar. She is the daughter of Cliff and Bobbie Ward of Owensboro, Kentucky, and a graduate of Daviess County High School.

Danielle Wire is a freshman computer information systems major with a minor in business administration. She is a member of the Honors Program and Emerging Leaders at USI and serves on the Honors Student Council as Living Learning Community Member-at-Large. Wire is a USI Presidential Scholar. She is the daughter of Ronald and JoAnn Wire of Boonville, Indiana, and a graduate of Boonville High School.

Ramya Yeleti is a freshman biology (pre-medicine) major. She is a member of the Honors Program, the Optimist Club, and To Write Love on Her Arms at USI. Yeleti is a USI Baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine Scholar. She is the daughter of Ramu and Indira Yeleti of Carmel, Indiana, and a graduate of Park-Tudor School.
