Twenty-four selected as USI ambassadors.

Twenty-four University of Southern Indiana students were named ambassadors by USI's Admission Office. The new additions will join current members of the Student Ambassador Organization (SAO).

SAO is a group of individuals that features the very best of what USI has to offer. Student ambassadors serve as University representatives, recruiters, hosts, tour guides and leaders. Ambassadors promote USI to prospective students, current students, and alumni by introducing University programs and campus life.

Mahek Ali is a freshman biology major on the Pre-med track. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community, and is a B/MD Scholar at USI. Ali is the daughter of Rashid and Nusrat Ali of Fishers, Indiana, and a graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School.

Emily Becker is a junior Heath Services major also enrolled in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at USI. She is a member of the Eagle Road Crew and also works on campus in Distance Learning. Becker is the daughter of Vann and Donna Becker of Indianapolis, Indiana, and a graduate of Scecina Memorial High School.

Erin Bonner is a freshman biology major on the Pre-Med Track. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community, and is a member of the USI Pep Band and Quidditch Team. Bonner is the daughter of Steve and Suzanne Bonner of McLeansboro, Illinois, and a graduate of Hamilton Senior High School.

Angela DaCosta is a freshman biology major on the Pre-Med Track. She is a member of the Activities Programming Board, Biology Club and College Mentors for Kids. She also is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community. DaCosta is the daughter of John and Maryanne DaCosta of East Hanover, New Jersey, and is a graduate of Hanover Park High School.

Sarah Daly is a freshman Heath Services major, planning to enroll in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at USI. She is a member of the Delta Zeta chapter on campus. Daly is the daughter of Mike and Kelly Daly of Manteno, Illinois, and is a graduate of Manteno Senior High School.

Ashley Dankovich is a freshman studying elementary education. She is a member of the Emerging Leaders, Campus Outreach and I Am Second organizations on campus. Dankovich is the daughter of Mike and Kristy Dankovich of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, and is a graduate of Floyd Central High School.

Taylor Davis is a freshman studying elementary education and special education at USI. She is a member of the Education Living Learning Community, Encore and I Am Second. Davis is the daughter of Bill and Cheri Davis of Westfield, Indiana, and is a graduate of Westfield High School.

Olivia Harrison is a junior studying nursing at USI. She is the former vice president and current member of the Gamma Phi Beta chapter, and also a member of College Mentors for Kids and USI Association of Nursing. Harrison is the daughter of Tim and Marsha Harrison of Avon, Illinois, and is a graduate of Bethesda Christian High School.

Livia Hopper is a freshman biology major, on the Physical Assistant Track. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community and is a member of the Pre-Professional Health Club. Hopper is the daughter of David and Mari Hopper of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and is a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School.

Tim Luczak is a freshman studying mathematics secondary education. He is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Communit. Luczak is a member of Emerging Leaders, AMIGOS and Teaching Eagles Scholars. He also is involved with Edge Radio and the Theatre Department. Luczak is the son of Will and Jen Luczak of Zionsville, Indiana, and is a graduate of Zionsville Community High School.

Mallory Martin is a freshman studying nursing at USI. Martin is the daughter of Tom and Angela Martin of Newburgh, Indiana, and is a graduate of Castle High School.

Paige McClellan is a freshman studying accounting and German at USI. McClellan is the daughter of Shaunna McClellan of Evansville, Indiana, and is a graduate of F.J. Reitz High School.

Hanna Melton is a freshman biology major, on the Physical Assistant Track. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community. She also is a member of Emerging Leaders and the Pre-Professional Health Club. Melton is the daughter of Robert and Rhonda Melton of Marion, Illinois, and is a graduate of Marion High School.

Whitney Mosier is a freshman studying elementary education and special education. She is a member of Emerging Leaders, the Education Living Learning Community and Encore. Mosier is the daughter of Kevin and Mindy Mosier of Williams, Indiana, and is a graduate of Mitchell High School.

Daniel Pemberton is a freshman engineering major. He is enrolled in the Honors Program, a Living Learning Community and is a member of AMIGOS and Student Christian Fellowship. Pemberton is the son of Brad and Wendy Pemberton of Lynnville, Indiana, and is a graduate of Tecumseh Junior/Senior High School.

Mananchaya Punsiri is a freshman biology major on the Pre-Dentistry Track. She is secretary of the International Club on campus. Punsiri is the daughter of Chissanupong Poonsiri and Wranitha Chanu of Prachinburi, Thailand, and is a graduate of Lutheran High School of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Madalyn Schadler is a freshman biochemistry major on the Pre-Medicine Track. She is a member of the Newman Catholic Group, AMIGOS and is a B/MD scholar. Schadler is the daughter of Gene and Beckie Schadler of Chandler, Indiana, and is a graduate of Reitz Memorial High School.

Lexis Schue is a freshman chemistry major on the Pre-Medicine Track. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community. She also is a member of the Pre-Professional Health Club. Schue is the daughter of Scott and Gina Schue of Evansville, Indiana, and is a graduate of North High School.

Gloria Sengwe is a freshman economics major. She is a member of the French Club on campus. Sengwe is the daughter of Tsitsi Sengwe and Bizert Sengwe of Mvurwi, Zimbabwe, and is a graduate of ZRP High School in Zimbabwe.

Lexie Skelton is a freshman studying Spanish and biology in the Pre-Medicine Track. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community. A member of the Pre-Professional Health Club and Emerging Leaders, Skelton is also involved in intramurals. Skelton is the daughter of Ed and Jenny Skelton of Westfield, Indiana, and is a graduate of Westfield High School.

Florence Takaendesa is a freshman mathematics major on the actuarial track. She is the Vice President of the International Club, a member of the African Student Union and the Pott College Student Advisory Board and enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community. Takaendesa is the daughter of Casper Takaendesa and Shylet Mangwiro of Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe, and is a graduate of Zengeza 1 High School.

Dana Tang is a freshman, still considering majors. She is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community and is a member of the Spanish Club. Tang is the daughter of David and Jayne Tang of Evansville, Indiana, and is a graduate of Signature School in Evansville.

Sydney Welch is a freshman studying radio/tv broadcasting. She is involved with WSWI, Edge Radio, Emerging Leaders, Chi Alpha and Encounter. Welch is the daughter of Dan Welch of Louisville, Kentucky, and is a graduate of New Albany High School.

Austin Witherite is a freshman studying mathematics education. He is enrolled in the Honors Program and a Living Learning Community. Witherite is the son of Randy and Lisa Witherite of Indianapolis, Indiana, and is a graduate of Ben Davis High School.
