Gerald Arnold, president of the Evansville NAACP.

USI speakers include Dr. Angela Batista, Dean of Students; Marcus Wicker, assistant professor of English; Pamela Hopson, director of the Multicultural Center; Jason Miner, chief justice for the Student Government Association; and Dr. Jay Dickerson, director of the Center for Social Justice Education within the Social Work Department.

Local musician Monte Skeleton and students from Joshua Academy will perform during the rally. Refreshments will be available, and the event is free and open to the public. Join the event on Facebook.

If it rains, the event will be held in the Eagle's Nest in University Center West.

Stand Against Racism is a nationwide movement that was initiated by the YWCA of Trenton, New Jersey in 2008 in order to raise awareness that racism still exists in our communities and that it can no longer be ignored or tolerated.
