MPA Speaker to discuss fundraising and philanthropy

The University of Southern Indiana's Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program Speaker Series will host Jerry A. Linzy at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, in Kleymeyer Hall in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public. The talk will be titled "Reflections on a career in fundraising and philanthropy."

Linzy is executive partner emeritus of Jerold Panas, Linzy and Partners - one of the nation's largest firms in the field of campaign services and financial resource development, raising billions of dollars for its over 3,600 client institutions. He has nearly 45 years of experience as a senior development officer in major healthcare institutions and higher education.

Linzy has remained an active volunteer in the Evansville community, serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Evansville, as well as the president of their alumni association.

He is a contributing author of the Non Profit Handbook, and teaches at the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) Institute at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He also is senior faculty for the Institute of Charitable Giving. In 2012, he was honored with the Si Seymour Award, the AHP's highest honor recognizing distinguished leadership in association affairs and in the healthcare philanthropy community.
