USI Choirs to present spring concert, host high school choir

The University of Southern Indiana Women’s Choir and Chamber Choir, under the direction of Daniel Craig, associate professor of music, will present their Spring Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23 at Old North United Methodist Church in Evansville. Music will include works by Aaron Copland, Johannes Brahms and Robert Shaw.

The Chamber Choir will perform music from their upcoming tour of Poznan, Malbork and Gdansk, Poland. The ensemble will be the only American choir competing in the Universitas Cantat choral festival May 17-20 in Poznan, Poland. In 2016, the Chamber Choir received first place in the Mayo International Choral Festival in Castlebar, Ireland.

The concert is free and open to the public.

USI Chamber Choir to host, perform joint concert with high school choir

The USI Chamber Choir will be hosting and presenting a joint concert with the Paducah Tilghman High School Choir from Paducah, Kentucky at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28 at Old North United Methodist Church. The concert is free and open to the public.
