University of Southern Indiana reception in Grayville

William “Bill” and Trudy Mitchell of Albion, Illinois, are hosting an information session and reception for Illinois parents, high school students, and transfer students who are interested in attending the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana. The Mitchells and USI admission counselors will begin the program at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 at Windsor Oaks Best Western at Interstate 64 and Illinois 1 near Grayville. The reception is free and open to the public. USI admission staff will offer information on University academic programs, the enrollment process, financial assistance availability, student housing, and explain why USI is one of the fastest growing public universities in the Midwest. Individuals who cannot attend the reception but want to know more about USI, can visit the campus on Southern Hospitality Day scheduled for Saturday, April 26. Activities during Southern Hospitality Day start at 9 a.m. in Mitchell Auditorium of the Health Professions Center on campus. Reservations are encouraged for the reception and/or the visitation day and may be made by calling 1/800-467-1965. USI is a comprehensive public university established in 1965. A liberal arts and science curriculum serves as the foundation of knowledge for USI programs and complements undergraduate programs leading to careers in business, engineering, government, health professions, education, and related fields. USI offers an educational experience that emphasizes close interaction between students and professors dedicated to teaching. There is an institution-wide commitment to student success. Fall 2003 classes will begin September 2. Applications for the fall semester must be made well in advance of the beginning of the fall semester. |
