Lincoln Amphitheatre tickets reduced
|
Lincoln Amphitheatre, the summer stage for the two outdoor musicals Young Abe Lincoln and Fiddler on the Roof, will extend the Sunday Family Night ticket price of $8 per person to apply to all performances from Wednesday, August 6 to Saturday, August 16. Historically the $8 ticket price applied only to Sunday night performances. “This year we are offering the reduced ticket price to include the final two weeks of the season,” said M. Christopher Boyer, the theatre’s manager. He added, “Both shows offer wonderful family entertainment. We think this is a great offer for families who are looking for affordable family fun before the school year gets too busy.” The musical Young Abe Lincoln is a touching and fun-filled musical that depicts the life of Abraham Lincoln as a young man living with his family in the Indiana territory during the years 1816 to 1830. The woods of Lincoln State Park, the very woods where Lincoln walked, add a natural backdrop for the play. This is the first season Fiddler on the Roof, one of Broadway’s all-time most successful musicals, is being produced at Lincoln Amphitheatre. The musical is filled with dance, laughs, great music, and powerful sentiment. Curtain time for the shows is 7:30 p.m. CDT. The $8 ticket price will apply to Young Abe Lincoln on August 9, and 10 and to Fiddler on the Roof on August 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, and 16. Call the box office at 800/264-4ABE. Lincoln Amphitheatre is located in Lincoln State Park in Spencer County. The musicals are produced by the University of Southern Indiana in cooperation with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. |
