Welcome Back Fun Fest

USI students are encouraged to participate in the Welcome Back Fun Fest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Recreation and Fitness Center. The fest, originally scheduled for the library lawn, was moved due to rain. More than 15 vendors will be serving free food, and area businesses will be giving away prizes. Some of the games and events scheduled for the day include a 50-foot inflatable obstacle course, soccer kick and score, bungee run, water ball, rock climbing, monster basketball game, disc golf throw, typhoon-tycoon, football game, first down-slam dunk, and bounce-n-box. Information tables will be available for students to register for the Race for the Cure, intramural sports, or programs offered by the Recreation and Fitness Center. Participants also will have a chance to win food baskets, gift certificates to local restaurants, oil changes, t-shirts, video rentals, and movie passes. The event is sponsored by the Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Department with assistance from Religious Life. |
