ISTA president to meet with Student Education Association

Judith Briganti, president of the Indiana State Teachers Association, will speak to members of the USI Student Education Association at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 25 in Carter Hall D of the University Center. Her topic will be “Great Public Schools for Every Child.” Briganti, an elementary education teacher, is beginning her third year of a three-year term of office as president of the ISTA, and she can serve another three-year term beginning in 2004. She is often a spokesperson on behalf of Indiana education. Briganti has an undergraduate degree from Ball State University, a master’s degree from Indiana University, and earned the Indiana Life License K-6 in all subject areas. As an elementary education teacher, Briganti has served as chairperson of an administrative leadership committee, participated in curriculum committees, and served as a school improvement team member and as a student council founder and sponsor. A reception will follow the presentation. |
