USI fraternity presents first annual “Wheels West” Car, Truck, and Cycle Show

The first annual “Wheels West” car, truck, and motorcycle show will take place on Saturday, October 18, in lot C on the University of Southern Indiana campus. Lot C is located at the corner of University Boulevard and Bennett Lane, adjacent to the Physical Activities Center. Anyone who has a car, truck, or motorcycle they would like to show off is welcome to participate. Registration will be from 9 a.m. until noon. Judging will be from noon until 2 p.m., and awards will be presented at 2 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 registrants. Plaques will be awarded for the top five cars (1900-1950) and top 10 cars (1951-present); top five trucks (1900-1950) and top 10 trucks (1951-present); top five motorcycles; best of show sport bike; top five sport bikes; best of show motorcycle; best of show truck; best of show car and co-ed’s choice. Registration fee is $15, $10 for high school or college students. Concessions will be available near lot C and the Recreation and Fitness Center. The event is sponsored by the men of Phi Delta Theta USI Chapter. Proceeds will benefit the Albion Fellows Bacon Center for Domestic and Sexual Violence. The “Wheels West” Car, Truck, and Cycle show is scheduled in conjunction with the Eagle Gran Prix, bicycle races for men, women, and co-ed teams.
