Wellness Fair for employees and students

The Employee Wellness Committee and Student Wellness Office will present a Healthy Hoe-down Wellness Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. October 28.

The fair, for USI employees and students, will be held on Rice Plaza and in Carter Hall. It will feature a variety of health screenings conducted by students in the School of Nursing and Health Professions and by area vendors.

The screenings will include cholesterol, body fat composition, blood pressure, and bone density/osteoporosis.

Students in the School of Nursing and Health Professions also will provide health risk appraisals and counseling, and vendors will offer free health information in addition to screenings.

Healthy activities also are planned throughout the day. Free health snacks and chair massages will be available as well, and participants will have an opportunity to register for prizes.
