Holiday in Harmonie Candlelight Tour

Historic New Harmony will present its 17th annual Candlelight Tour program with another new twist – this year’s tour will include New Harmony’s historic churches and will focus on New Harmony’s rich and diverse religious heritage. The self-guided tours will take place one day only, December 6, 2003, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tour sites include the restored Atheneum/Visitors Center, the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and Rectory, Johnson United Methodist Church, Holy Angels Catholic Church, and the original Harmonist Church, which will be re-created using candles and luminaria. Some historic sites will feature entertainment, and refreshments will be served at the Atheneum/ Visitors Center. Adult ticket prices are $12, children are $6, and Historic New Harmony donors are $5. University of Southern Indiana staff, faculty, and student tickets are $5 with a valid Eagle Access Card. The tour is part of “Christmas in New Harmony,” a weekend-long holiday festival sponsored by the New Harmony Business Associates.
