USI welcomes new faculty
| Dr. Cindy DeLoney-Marino, Evansville, has accepted the position of assistant professor of biology at University of Southern Indiana. Formerly of Chicago, she previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Loyola University-Chicago and as a member of the adjunct faculty at San Bernardino Valley College. She earned a Ph.D. in microbiology in 2000 at University of California at Riverside, an M.S. in biology from Eastern Washington University, and a B.S. in biology (cum laude) from Gonzaga University. She received a postdoctoral fellowship in microbial ecology from the National Science Foundation in 2000, was recognized for the Best Student Research Presentation, 1997-98, 1999-2000, at University of California at Riverside, and received a teaching fellowship at Eastern Washington University in 1995-96. She is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society for Microbiology, and the Indiana Branch of the American Society for Microbiology. |
