College representatives from the University of Southern Indiana (USI) will hold a public information reception in Columbus from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, 2480 Jonathan Moore Pike. High school students, their parents, and other interested individuals are welcome and encouraged to attend the evening program.

Information tables will be set up for questions about academic programs and residence life programs at USI, the admission process, scholarships, orientation, and financial assistance. Persons can come and go as their schedules allow.

USI has a competitive scholarship program that is attractive to top scholars. The Presidential Scholarships are valued at more than $25,000 over four years. These are scholarships for Indiana high school valedictorians. A Baccalaureate/Doctor of Medicine (B/MD) program and Deans Scholarships also are appealing. The B/MD program offers simultaneous admission to USI’s premedical program and provisional admission to the Evansville Center of Indiana University’s School of Medicine. Students in the B/MD program receive full tuition waivers during their undergraduate years. Students selected for the Deans Scholarship receive awards valued at more than $12,000 over four years.

Reservations for the information reception can be made by calling 800/467-1965.
