Learn to refinish furniture

Extended Services will offer a Furniture Refinishing class on seven Mondays, February 9-March 22.

Taught by antiques consultant Jim Sanders, the class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Technology Center at USI.

Participants will learn the proper methods of refinishing and preserving furniture heirlooms and collectibles. Students also will refinish a piece of their own furniture in need of some cabinet restoration.

Project articles, small enough to be hand carried, should be brought to the first class, when a list of needed supplies will be furnished. Storage space will be provided.
