USI Announces Leadership Award Recipients

Nine University of Southern Indiana students received the Vice President for Student Affairs Top Student Leaders award for the 2003-2004 year. The honorees and a brief description about their activities this year follows. Bart Burke is an elementary education major from Evansville, Indiana. He is the co-president of the Student Education Association, the chaplain of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, a member of the Teacher Education Student Advisory Committee, and a member of the Indiana State Reading Association. Lindsay Wilson is a public relations/advertising major from Evansville, Indiana. She is the administrative vice-president for Business and Finance in the Student Government Association, a member of College Republicans, a member of the USI Advertising Club, and a member of the Red Zone. Cynthia Moseley is a general studies major from Evansville, Indiana. She is co-president of the Student Education Association, a member of College Democrats, a Study Abroad Ambassador, and a member of the USI International Club. Kenneth Stumpf is a biology, pre-dental major from Evansville, Indiana. He is president of the Biology Club, a member of Sigma Zeta, the American Chemical Society, the American Society for Microbiology, a student ambassador, and a member of Newman Catholic. He also participates in USI intramurals and is the Lorraine swim team head coach. Scott Hogan is a public relations/advertising major from Bloomington, Indiana. He is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity in which he held the offices of Alumni Association treasurer, president, vice-president, chaplain and scholastics. Amanda Diehl is a business administration major from Merrillville, Indiana. She is a member of the Honors Program, attorney general of the Student Government Association, vice-president of Admission Events for the Student Ambassador Organization, an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a candidate for 2004 Homecoming Queen, a student worker, and a participant of intramurals. Nick Lindy is public relations/advertising major from Evansville, Indiana. He is vice-president of the Activities Programming Board, chief justice of the Student Government Association, and a member of the National Association of Campus Activities. Jennifer Persohn is a political science major from Jasper, Indiana. She is a member of Leadership USI, an AMIGO, co-vice-president for Enrichment and Education for the Activities Programming Board, and a member of Kappa Chi. Ashley Aber is a biology, pre-med major from Muncie, Indiana. She is a member of the Honors Program, the new member educator assistant for Delta Zeta Sorority, Panhellenic vice-president of public relations, and a member of the USI Student Ambassador Organization |
