Indianapolis alumni chapter schedules events
|
USI alumni in the Greater Indianapolis area are gathering this week for a chapter meeting on October 7 and the Greater Indianapolis Scholarship Golf Scramble on October 8. The Indy chapter is growing with 968 graduates living in the area. The chapter meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Rock Bottom Restaurant on the west side of the city. Tarrie Kendall ’94 is the chapter president. She is director of leasing and training at Keeneland Crest Apartments. The golf scramble will begin at 12:30 p.m. at The Links in New Palestine. Proceeds from the scramble provide scholarships to students from Marion County and contiguous counties. Other chapter activities include assistance with legislative contact and student recruitment, a picnic for entering students and alumni at an Indianapolis Indians’ baseball game, a USI Night with the Indiana Pacers, and three chapter meetings annually. Alumni chapters provide an opportunity for graduates to network and at the same time promote USI thorough chapter activities. In addition to the Greater Indianapolis chapter, other chapters are located in Dubois County and in Louisville. Graduates interested in more information about the Indianapolis activities or other chapter information can contact the USI Office of Alumni and Volunteer Services. |
