Scholarships for teachers

The Bower-Suhrheinrich School of Education and Human Services and the Department of Teacher Education have established scholarships for regional teachers who plan to begin a master’s degree program in education at USI by the 2005 summer or fall semester. Up to six $1,000 scholarships will be awarded for tuition reimbursement. Candidates must complete an application form including an application essay. The forms and essay information are available on the Teacher Education Web site on the left hand rolling menu or in the Teacher Education Office, ED 3114. Candidates must: have at least two years of experience as a P-12 teacher within the last five years; submit complete transcripts from all universities attended, and submit a current resume which includes the names and phone number of two references who can speak to the candidate’s professional experiences. Paper copies of all forms and application essays should be sent to the graduate program coordinator in the Department of Teacher Education. The deadline for submission of all materials is February 18, 2005. Recipients will be notified on or before March 15. 2005. |
