Holbrook named GLVC Player of the Week

Senior forward/center Randy Holbrook (St. Louis, Missouri) was named the GLVC Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks after leading the Screaming Eagles to victories over 5th-ranked Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Quincy University last week. Holbrook began the week by posting a team-high 16 points in the victory over SIUE. He also grabbed four rebounds and dished out three assists in snapping SIUE’s 14-game winning streak. The senior communications major returned to the hardcourt Saturday and recorded a game-high 25 points in the victory over Quincy. Holbrook was a blistering 11-of-14 from the field, including one-of-two from beyond the three-point arc. For the week, Holbrook averaged 20.5 points per game and shot 65.4 percent from the field (17-26). He also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks per contest in the two games. |
