Learn golf this spring
A fundamental course for the rookie golfer will be offered this spring through Extended Services at the University of Southern Indiana.Mike Wolf, the Tee Time Golf Complex pro, will be the instructor, something he has been doing for 13 years through USI. Beginning golfers learn the right techniques for swing mechanics and fundamentals. When teaching the short game, Wolf covers pitching, chipping, and putting. Driving is covered in depth. Wolf also offers video analysis, so each golfer can see himself/herself in action. Wolf said this tool engages the golfer’s mind with visual/ and verbal possibilities of how to improve. “Tee Time is committed to being a leader locally in quality instruction of the game of golf. The facility has recently been renovated with over an acre of grass tees. Tee Time is full service with a nine-hole golf course, lighted range, putting green, chipping green, and covered areas in the event of inclement weather,” Wolf said. Seven class sections will be offered, and enrollment will be limited to eight individuals per section. The eight-week course will be offered from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturdays, April 9 to May 28; 4 to 5 p.m., Saturdays, April 9 to May 28; 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesdays, April 6 to May 25; 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 7 to May 26; and 6 to 7 p.m. Fridays, April 8 to May 27.
