Dubois County student earns scholarship
Dubois County resident Sarah L. Kraft, a senior at the University of Southern Indiana, will receive the USI Dubois County Alumni Chapter Scholarship for 2005-06. Kraft is a double major at USI in nursing and psychology, and she is consistently a dean’s list honor student. She is a member of the National Student Nurses’ Association and the Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society. She currently works as a mental health associate at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville and a nursing assistant at Northwood Good Samaritan in Jasper. She has certifications in CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). She is a certified nursing assistant. After college she plans to attend graduate school seeking a master’s degree in mental health nursing. She said, “My future plans also include returning to Dubois County to practice my profession.” Kraft is a graduate of Southridge High School. She is the daughter of Mr. Brad Kraft and Mrs. Denise Merrimon. The $500 scholarship is made possible by the USI alumni chapter in Dubois County. |
