The Temple Airs finish out Live at Lincoln Amphitheatre
|
The Temple Airs will finish out the Live at Lincoln Amphitheater summer concert series with a performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 5. The 20-piece big band has been performing in the area for 20 years. Audience members are invited to join the Lincoln Amphitheatre dancers onstage and swing the night away! Founded in 1982 by Ray Arensman, The Temple Airs perform exclusively for nonprofit organizations. They have raised over two million dollars for area charities. Many of the musicians in the group are old enough to remember when the 1930s and 1940s big band music they play was popular, not nostalgic. On September 23, 1999, Evansville Mayor Frank McDonald II presented the Mayor's Arts Award to the Temple Airs. Tickets are $20. For more information, call 1-800/264-4ABE or visit www.usi.edu/lincoln. The performance will benefit Lincoln Amphitheatre. |
