Since fall 2005, students have been able to get the news they can use from USI’s News and Information Services Web site, including Student News, Campus News, and Faculty & Staff News.

The Student News page links to features about student accomplishments, activities, and organizations, and other stories of interest to the student body.

All students are encouraged to pitch story ideas for the Web or other University publications by contacting NIS writer Wendy Knipe Bredhold at 812/461-5259.

NIS also has organized a student advisory board to advise NIS staff of student projects, activities, and groups, and to help generate news for the Web and publications. They are Anita Cobb, Ivan Dixon, Jennifer Heidler, Jennifer Woolley, Joy Haas, Kaci Wilson, Kevi Baumgartner, Lana Abel, Lindsay Gora, Luke Lutz, Megan Durr, Randy Woodruff, Sarah Nellis, and Stephanie Wilson.
